As the creator of Psychological Jujutsu™, the Psyche Suite™ and the Psychological Operating System™, James is a proven Talent & Organizational Transformation professional having deep experience in the US, Japan, and Asia-Pacific coupled with hands-on business and technical expertise.
Previously, James spent 11 years working in Silicon Valley for companies ranging from new venture start-ups to established industry leaders engaged in developing nascent technologies, and pioneering emerging markets such as Applied Materials, eBay, Streaming21 (IPTV), Toshiba, Wells Fargo, Solectron, Collabria (PRaaS), HereUAre (Wifi E-coinbox), and others.
He began his career developing financial automation software, and market analytical/predictive models, and has held positions in product management, business development, and sales.
Valuing development of a Global Mindset, James has studied Japanese, Vietnamese, Korean, and Spanish as well as audited Mandarin, Tagalog, German, Bahasa Indonesian, and Finnish.
He was previously selected by Japan’s CLAIR/Monbusho JET Programme and worked in Shizuoka, Japan (very rural Japan) for a year, and later relocated to Tokyo in 2006.
James graduated from San Diego State University with a B.S. in Business Administration/Marketing (Magna Cum Laude; Distinction in Field) and also briefly attended the University of Southern California, MBA program.
He is a Certified Coach, Certified NLP Practitioner, Certified Employment Interview Professional, and has attended Robert Cialdini's Principles of Persuasion Workshop in Arizona.
He holds certificates from the Hong Kong Management Association (HKMA) in Asian Corporate Human Resources Management and Successful Training. He has successfully completed Accenture, Avanade, Morgan Stanley and QVC's Ethics, Compliance, Anti-corruption, Information Security and Non-Public Information Handling training and mandates.
He is a member of Mitsubishi Estate’s (三菱地所) exclusive Tokyo21C Entrepreneur Program, PARW, and the NFNLP.
